Designing the frame bag for my new frame, think it's safe to put a strap around the shock body?

will the shock not move & cause wear?
what frame? could you strap past the shock and onto a frame tube?

Does it really need a strap there? Tangle bags and my own bag (will post pics tonight) basically hangs from the top tub, but with a strap around the seat tube and head tube or top of down tube doesn't move at all.

Only way it's going to fit on this frame.
Having to think outside the box due to fabrics and frame on this setup

I wouldn't have thought it would be great to have the shock as a load bearing member as if nothing else it might impact on the shock performance, plus it will rub and or stretch the bag a little bit each time the shock compresses.
As Thom says, couldn't you go around the shock or even design the bag so that it wrapped around the shock to reach a bit of frame somethere? Hard to second guessor help though without knowing what the frame is.

Linkage one side, brace in the way! The whole frame bag packed will be ultralight, the strap setup won't be like regular frame bags, design allows 'float'.

Is it something like this you're planning on doing?
Here's a link to it over on
MTBR. A
different thread on the same site as well.
