Braunton 170?

So I was on leave last week and was hoping to head upto Scotland to ride the CL trails. However the weather just looks to grim to enjoy it so i decided to head south for a change and my route choice was the Braunton 150.

This route is vaguely exciting, the guy who put it together needs a pat on the back, not only does it take you through some of the nicest scenery in North Devon he has utilized the best singletrack bridleways ive ridden in awhile!! I can highly recommend you ride it. I chose to ride the route over the course of three days, this turned out to be the hottest week so it took me four in the end. That and the fact that my gps told me id ridden 20miles further than the route published. Be prepared for a lot of climbing! I think he must be training for the TD or something

Anyhow heres a few pics from my trip

The second night i put the tarp up incase, as it felt abit damp in the air from the sea, it wasnt needed though turned out to be another dry night just outside Lee

Good one!

Even though I scratched (with about 40Km to go) on the group start there was a lot of good riding up to that point a lot of which was new to me (or I'd only done it in the opposite direction). I really enjoyed the descents down to Porlock and riding by the river down from Simonsbath was great too. Need to get back and give it another go.

Worryingly, it looks like you're wearing sandals with socks on that last picture.
