Today's invention the non Alpkit, Alpkit stem cell!

The stem cell is fractionally too small for my mug with the primus windshield round it, so I made my own stem cell from a Brabanta Peg back and some double sided Velcro tape. It is bigger but when you tighten the straps it is only 1cm wider than the stem cell. Steering works fine so far. It's actually smaller than the stem cell xl. And I can get some gels, bars and chocolate in it in addition to the full cooking kit.

And it cost £7.99 instead of £21 or £25.

I've one of those Duncan but yours looks much deeper ... how deep is it?

Though it pains me to say it, Planet X have POD sacks banana and mini dip chalk bags for £3.99 and £1.99 at the mo, postage adds to the cost but if you are near Sheffield or Barnsley you can collect for nowt. I've got a banana bag and it works well as a feed bag or for holding my cooking set.

I had seen those but they don't give the size. Any chance you could measure yours please?

On the bar extender from left to right we have a go pro mount & go pro, a garmin mount for use when charging (Normally the Garmin is Stem mounted when in use), an Exposure Revo Dynamo light and an Exposure light mount for use when the Exposure Diablo is charging (Normally helmet mounted) or for friend's Exposure lights to clip on and be charged.

Now located, it's got a circular top with a diameter of 130 mm and is 180 mm deep with a slight taper to the bottom. Smaller than your peg bag but still holds a myti mug 650 containing meths stove and windshield with a bit of room on top. It has a drawstring about 30 mm down from the top and 2 loops which unfortunately are too small to slide onto handlebars. Worth a punt for the price IMO.

Two of these just turned up. They were just over 6 quid each delivered from Amazon. Looks like they will fit around the base of my sewing machine without having to rip seams so I'll sew a webbing ladder on and a couple of loops for bungee cord.
They are surprisingly well made and have a 'buttonhole' style drain hole sewn in the base and a nice stiff hoop around the sphincter.

They'll go nicely on the stoker's stem on the tandem as a dump pouch for food and a camera for my wife to use.

I'm breaking the rules by even bringing it up but sometimes it seems like she has 'spare capacity' back there

got 2 of these today, with a few mods and plenty Velcro they are in situ, here's hoping they stay the course when the going gets rough, ive packed many zipties just incase
