Okay, grid references will be floating across the sky and dropping into inboxes across the land shortly. If you haven't received yours by late this afternoon, here's what to do.
1/ Check the spam folder of your main email account.
2/ Check the email account that you use with paypal, inc' the spam folder.
3/ Check all your other email accounts.
4/ Think long and hard as to whether you actually used your own paypal account or did someone pay on your behalf - if so, they've got your email.
5/ Still nothing? Pick you computer up and give it a good old shake - the email might have got stuck down the back.
6/ Nowt? - send me an email.

Looks like it's a bit further than the seaside!
Guess SH might be SN for one ref....

Me substituting grid reference letters is just part of the pre-WRT ritual
In case anyone's wondering - SH 844973, should be SN 844973 but feel free to go with SH.

I've got links for the all of the points of each set in gridreferencefinder.com if people would like them.
I didn't want to post them right away just in case it wasn't a done thing :)

I believe they're generally not posted (because obviously then anyone can do it).

Good point.
For anyone one with them who would like to replicate my astonishing work:
take this:
http://gridreferencefinder.com/?gr=
paste each grid ref (with no spaces), separated by a , after it, and you're away. :)
e.g.
http://gridreferencefinder.com/?gr=SJ836921,SH452921
these are not WRT grid references!

You can get an extra 9% off your maps at dash4it with code 9BDAY ... you also get a free 'snood' if your basket total is over £9 before discount.

Did you not get your email? Required maps are listed with the grid references ........ just below the bit where it says, read the email carefully, then go back and read it again properly
215, OL23 and OL18 for the WRT, 215 and OL23 for the Lite.

Sort of on topic: feeling a little rusty with my map reading and navigation skills, I benefitted greatly from a lesson from our work IT guy who's a scout leader. I have homework and lesson 2 next week!!
Feeling much less nervous. At least now I can be lost with some vague skills, rather than lost with no skills at all....

As a first time wrt'er who has convinced his cousin and a mate to come along the evenings Are currently spentplaying with maps and they are wonderful. For two reasons:
1. I love maps
2. It means that I am doing something towards the event which makes me feel less guilty about the lack of training...
I am woefully undertrained and continuing to justify this under training by saying that map prep is pretty much the same thing...
This will be my first attempt at something like the wrt, our group are planning a pub to pub style point to point, with as much off road as possible. Still, with maps and pieces of string my proposed route comes out at 170km and that's missing most of the grids. Is that mental? Will it leave enough time in the pubs? Who put that mountain in the way?
I know it's against the forum etiquette to post routes but if someone would please ok mine so that when/if it goes horribly wrong I have someone to blame that would be great.
Route as follows:
Start- off road -on road- hill- pub- pub- of road- hill- massive hill- river- bridge- pub- ice cream- hill - kip - no rain (argument about here some place)- hill - hill - hill - another hill- tree- sea- mechanical issues- fry up- hill - why aren't the pubs open- hill pub- hill - bridge- sit on side of road sobbing- rashly start abandoning kit in hope of the loss of 90 grams will provide superpowers- kip - find train station- hill- hill - flat bit- hill- finish-
Does that seem reasonable?
Thanks
