Does anyone else fiddel with string (splice)?

Post by Cheeky Monkey »

Man-a-live, been making guy lines, continuous prusik loops, soft shackles. Once I got the hang of it I started replacing the loops of cord on the tarp with spliced ones.

Now my delicated little paper-shuffling office worker's hands are sore and I appear to have developed an unhealthy obsession with something that isn't a million miles away from knitting or (worse!) crochet

The coil of Amsteel in the corner is begging me to turn it into Whoopie slings.

Is it just me and this splicing thing :?

Never done it, but I'd be interested to see some pics of your recent efforts if you have any?

TBH honest they look pretty much like the ones you see ukhammocks selling or on the tutorial threads from HammockForum.
