Anyone know of where these are still available (29er by 2.1)?? They are listed on WTB's site and Hotlines the UK importer but all the usual shops are claiming they are unavailable.... Finaly given up on the weedy thunderburts and the Nanos are the perfect tyre for the Fargo.

If CRC don't have them...well good luck.

CRC own Hotlines, the UK distributor for WTB products so as Greg says if they haven't got them.
I think the stock is disappearing out to preorders as quick as they can get them in.

When I was looking for rims WTB put me in touch with Shocker Distribution in Germany.
Had a look on their website www.Shocker-Distribution.com and Nanos are listed.
Florian is the guy to email Florian@Shocker-Distribution.com he speaks English.
He is the WTB agent for europe.

If you were looking at Nano's then this is the closest thing that WTB have to offer...although it lacks the near solid center line. If Nano's disappear, this will be my next summer tyre....

(Just replaced rear Mountainking with Siguaro before ordering Crossmark or MinionDHR or Ikon or something else I cant decide on)

Crossmarks - due to the hard wide central line, which raises up at higher pressurs - are wonderfully fast in a straight line. Due to this, they are utterly terrible at breaking in a straight line - especially when it is wet.

Don't get me wrong. They are one of my all time favourite XC racing tyres, up there with Karmas. They are not good at going slow, or slowing down in my experience.

In other news - I'd really avoid an Ikon on the front...unless it is really, really dry.

I am going to run bontrager xr1 steel beaded 29x2.2 for a couple of gravel grinder type events.
They look to be quite a low volume 2.2.
No room on my road bike for anything bigger than a 32c so I am borrowing the wheels off it and sticking them on the rooster until I have built my gravel frankenbike.
Need steel 26er forks..........

Not a tyre I'd be fitting on the front for typical UK conditions, but fine on the rear I've found

i would tend to agree with gregs assessment tbh they were fine for a bimble.

as a race tyre for short course XC where your racing for seconds ... they were proper widowmakers.

I thought it would be similar to my much loved small block 8s out the back on the intermediate-dry and trail centre race tracks they couldnt have been much more different tbh. Braking at speed was hairy at best and in slight damp almost non existant.

i quite like them (26x2.35). only place they don't really perform is on wet grass, all gets a bit speedway.

if it ever dries out they'll be going back on.
