Just wondering how many people do this. Many years ago (25+) I was touring Europe and carried my burner, with fuel in, in the cooking pot. Then one day I unpacked it to find the burner had leaked due to me not tightening it up properly or vibration had loosened it or a bit of both. Being on a very,very tight budget, being a skinflint and thinking that the money would be better spent in a bar (purely in the interest of international relationships you understand) I decided not to buy a new pot. Food tasted disgusting for about 5 days after this. As I am now back to using a meths burner I make sure all the fuel is burned off before packing it away in the pot. Anyone else had a similar experience?

I trust my Tatonka stove but I wouldn't trust a Trangia (or copy) ... easiest safeguard is to put your stove in a ziplock bag before you stick it in your pot.
