Integral Designs SilShelter

So I spent the afternoon wrestling the SilTarp1 into a attempt of some form of shelter, well I wouldn't dare sleep under it for a night, other than on most still night imaginable.

So has anybody tried a Integral Designs SilShelter? Other other recommendations, The criteria is it has to be usable at 2500m+ and be able to withstand weather, well proper alpine, so the ability to shut it up properly is very important. Not bothered about Cuben and haven't got months to wait on it arriving.

Current thinking is the Laser Comp w/ Fastpack groundsheet.

Never tried a SilShelter but always liked the SilDome ... don't think there's any in the country though :(

There seems very few options in the country though, and a laser comp is heading the list again.

I think you're right, there's a few single skin, floorless shelters out there in the UK but the majority weigh well over 1kg ... reckon your laser in a fast fly set up might well be your best option.

What would you take for 10-12 days, of roughing it, with one night on a proper camp site?
