Each shot was using a slightly different setup. Most was done using my Sigma lens, but for this trip I had the following with me
  • Nikon D7100
  • Sigma 10-20 ƒ/3.5
  • Nikon 35mm ƒ/1.8
  • Cokin P-Grade Graduated Filter set
  • 2x SRB Photographic ND1000
  • Slik Pro Series Tripod
All in 5-6kg of camera gear is my estimate… I carry a rucksack which only has camera gear in, and generally I struggle to shut it

Not a huge amount done in post, just tweaking the levels to get things looking natural again as cameras have a tendency to flatten colours or over saturate them however good the gear.

One of my pet hates as a photographer, "must be 'cos you have a nice camera!"
They are often a little surprised/shocked when they saw what I did use though

It's amazing how many people I know think the camera does all the work for my photographs. They don't seem to consider that a lot of effort actually goes into them, a lot of technique, and a lot of though. The camera equipment is actually a pretty small part of it. One of my favourite pictures from this trip was actually taken on my iPhone.

+1 , especially composition. And yet there's a huge difference that distracts me once the light's a bit dodgy.
