I've had an email which I think deserves a little push (I've copied it below). If you can show Stuart some support and sponser him a few quid I'm sure it'll be appreciated ... he completed the BB200 last year so I'm sure he's up for a 'tootle along the cut' ;)

Hello.

Its Stuart Rider from Riders Cycle Centre in Skipton North Yorkshire.

I am sending all my inbox contacts an email to ask you to help me raise £500 for Sport Relief.

At 12pm on Saturday 24th March I will set off along the Liverpool 2 Leeds canal and cycle the towpath in both directions.

That a total of approx 260miles and I will do it none stop.

I plan to finish at around 3/4pm on Sunday in Skipton and then enjoy my 40th Bday.

Please log on to the link below and help me reach my £500 target.

Thank you for your support and look out for a post ride report. Got a feeling this is going to be a challenge :)

Stu.

I did it once from Liverpool to Leeds in one day - 134m, nice ride but did get rather fed up with all the gates nd barriers along the route. Good fun though and just when we thought we felt delicate enough from a day in the saddle we got to Leeds and its wonderfully rustic cobbled tow paths - still makes me wince thinking about it!

I've done this one way in a day before. 127miles on the canal = the worst saddle sores ever.... there is no need to stand up, cos its mainly flat.......I could not imagine turning round at Liverpool and riding back!!!
Good Luck...... I have sponsored you !!!!!! C'mon Barebones forum he's a BB200 finisher....sponsor him!!!!
