March Dartmoor Bike Bivi....

.... late notice I know but we're doing a ride up onto the eastern part of Dartmoor tomorrow (Sat 10th March) setting off mid afternoon for a night out under the stars if anyone wants to join the gang (of 2 ).

Also in a fortnight or so, we're looking to do a fly-fishing bike bivi (weather permitting) on one of Southern moor resevoirs when the trout season starts again. So in addition to yer doss sack, yer'll be needing to bring a fish knife, a sprig of dill, bottle of white wine, and some potatos to saute ;)

Doh, miss it again!

Hope you had a good trip.

To be fair I couldn't have made it since I was recovering from a very painful back injury after falling off a bike. As a fellow cyclist the paramedic was very sympathetic until he found out the bike belonged to a 6 year old

Also, I don't have any fly gear but I do have a brand new pole spear that I'm itching to try. Don't suppose a mask, snokerl and spear would go down too well with the other anglers though.

Hi Nevis,

we we're going to do another bivi ride today but have cancelled it, mainly on grounds of the weather.
However, next weekend (28th April) we'll possibly do a canoe/kayak bivi on the Dart (or a nearby cove somewhere along the coast from Dartmouth) if you're interested. (Rod, lure and ABU fish smoker
already packed ;-) )

BTW, do I have your email address? I can give you advance warning of any future excursions we've got lined up. slugwash(AT)hotmail(DOT)com

...And stop riding yer kids bikes ;-)
