A write up of a quick trip up to the Isle of Arran last weekend with Paul Errington: http://www.mikehowarth.co.uk/the-isle-o ... mountains/

Enjoyed that Mike. Looks cracking and obviously all good rides include some pushing and carrying

I generally favour the 80/20 rule: 80% (riding) / 20% (pushing)

I think this ride was probably the inverse of that but Arran is a beautiful island and we were more than rewarded for our efforts.

I've done a load of climbing on Cir Mhor granite - good rock :-bd
Glen Rosa has some lovely rock pools in the river that provide a welcome cool off after the days toils.
Just to show you how long ago it was since I was last there, they were 'improving' the Glen Sannox track up to the saddle.
Your words brought back some find memories.

Glad to hear it brought back some fond memories.

Arran was always on my radar as a climber for those Classic and Hard Rock ticks. Maybe one day I'll make it up there for those as well :-)
