Given that the weather was still dreadful yesterday, I decided to take myself off to the National Bicycle Museum and spent a wonderful couple of hours wondering around.

If you're ever at a loose end somewhere in mid-Wales, it's well worth a trip ... interesting to see how far we've come and at the same time just how little things have really changed.

Cycle camping 50's style, down bag, single skin 'tent' and soft luggage

I support the museum by becoming a member for a massive tenner and a half a year and get a quarterly newsletter plus free entry. Gwan you know you want to

Mr 1950s looks well dodgy. Clearly thinking about half-inching that bike.

I didn't know about the museum either. Will pop in if I'm in the area.

We made the trip out there last year and spent far longer than we expected looking around. There really is a lot to see.
Another one worth a visit is Coventry Transport Museum. Not just cars, they've got dozens of bikes on display too.
