Planning a Cairngorms trip next week.

Does anybody know if it's easy to cross the River Feshie just North of Craig Na Caillich (NN851 907) ?

and what the track is like North of Loch An t-Seilich (below Meallach Mhor) NN763 902 through to Glen Feshie ?

NN845919 is better. It's wider and shallower with some shingle banks to cross between. As always, it'll depend on rainfall.




The track along the top end of Glen Tromie is rough and bouldery and probably works better going West. However, it's not too far. You'll be pushing up soft ground alongside the forest to NN803896 and then it's a good landie track down to the Feshie.

FWIW, it's probably worth staying on the south side of the Bhran until the higher weir at NN776893 (in the event you were unsure)

Can you get across the river easily at the weir ?

The weir is the top of a water catchment
