Looking at this http://salsacycles.com/culture/2016_sal ... uick_links it looks like a number of bikes have been dropped from the range? Or is this just the models that have been updated?
Either way I think a 29+ Fargo was inevitable wasn't it?

Scratch that, my phone was only showing the lefthand column, so there were quite a few missing!

Can't see any Ti frames (shame as it was a Ti Fargo, not a Cutthroat that won the TD ;) ), there's no SS El Mar, the Spearfish is carbon....

Most interest for me is the Pony Rustler by far. Pity to see the Alu Spearfish get dropped. As for lack of Ti Fargo (Guards his with his life) my precious.

I wonder why they've not done a proper 29+ hardtail to against the krampus. Always thought they would. I know theyve done the deadwood but I dont like drops.

Some nice looking stuff but theyve made the mukluk ugly.

Don't want to tread too much on Surly's toes I guess. Is the Mukluk just a Blackborow now, or does it just look the same and only have space for 4"?

The ManChild just caught me clicking through all these bikes, harrumphed and sarcastically suggested Salsa should just get on with it and make a full suspension, fat+ tandem with drop bars, and then he wandered into the garage to play with his jump bike.

Maybe I've been up in the hills too long and lost touch with reality but some of the prices seem a bit over the top?

Prices seem to have crept skywards in the last year or two.

It's cheaper to have a Ti frame custom built to your specification than to buy a Salsa one (even at trade).

Probably true, but I'd be surprised if that was their reason for dropping it from the range.

There have been historic issues with their old frame builders for Ti. Returning a whole batch of frames ain't a good sign, but shows that QBP have very tight QC at least. So far my Ti Fargo is still not broken...or my new Spearfish. May check that after Bonty 24/12 though.
