Guys looking to buy my first gps for using for trips. I'm a bit lost with it all but came across this http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/201381114671?nav=SEARCH on ebay and just wanted an opinion on weather this would be good and ready to use or would I have to purchase better map's?
Cheers

THe edge 800 is a great unit.

You can download other (free) maps onto it that will give greater details.

Nice bit of kit, I use the Garmin 605 and they are excellent for for going to new areas. You do need more than the Garmin maps, but I tend to us openstreet sources for this, there are plenty of options nowadays (including topos maps).

Noted that the 800 comes from the US, so you may need to pay import tax when it comes into the UK.
