I want to ditch my backpack for day and short rides which means no drink bladder.
I want a 0.5l and or 0.75l bottle with a flip top that keeps the dust, sand, grit and mud off the spout. Lucozade Sport bottles have this simple device that covers the spout and saves you getting a mouthful of crud. As far as I can tell the flip up straw/spout type don’t actually shield the mouth piece fully and seem to be for road bike use not off road.

Many years ago I had a two bottle belt with bite valves that seemed to work but want to stop strapping kit to me and carry it on the bike.

I have been looking in shops and stores and online but can’t see what I am looking for although Rose in Germany look as though they might.
Anyone got or know of something I can get in UK online or LBS?

You can bottles with lids, my one is a cheap one from Tesco. Only bought it for the lid, not as good a bottle as a camelbak podium which are my favourite ones, but great when it's really sloppy
