Can anyone tell me if the AlpKit Airlok tapered 13l dry bag fits the WildCat Gear Tiger seatpack? The tiger claims to accept a maximum size bag of 8l so just curious.

Yes it works. Used that setup on my trip to Bruges this weekend.

Cheers for the info. I have one more, OT question if I may, and didn't really want to start yet another stupid question thread. When packing a sleeping bag in to a dry bag, so you use the supplied compression bag first, or just pack the sleeping bag in to the dry bag as is, to allow it to fill the space a little more evenly?

I don't bother with the compression bag, just straight into the dry bag.

You'll probably find that most folk pack their sleeping kit on its own, so don't generally unpack any of it until they've stopped for the day. Things you may require during the day like tools, food, etc live somewhere else.

Ahh OK. My current planning pack, due to various limitations, is to strap the dry bag containing tent to handlebar. I've got a small framebag containing toolkit etc, my sleeping bag and clothes will be going in some kind of seatpack, possibly a tapered airlok on it's own at first. Then I'm thinking of grabbing a couple of Anything cages, or similar, Sleeping mat drybag on one, and cooking kit on the other. Sound legit?

I do clothes and sleeping bag in the front bag (stuff that I don't want to come into contact with a wet tent or bivvy).
Tent and mat and toiletries in the rear bag. Tools, spares, food in the frame bags and valuables in my batpack.

Ahh ok, sounds similar to mine, but tent vs sleeping stuff reversed. I only chose to put the tent up front as I don't have a harness and a small 8l dry bag fits my tent perfectly and straps to the bars just nice without fouling cables and hoses.

Sounds reasonable to me. I'll sometimes forego anything on the front and just use a rear 'pack' ... although this only usually works if (a) it's summer (b) your kit packs down well and (c) you're not needing to carry much food.

Forgot to mention I'm thinking of fitting the anything cages (or alternatives) to the forks. Are rubber backed jubilee clips the way to do this?

One thing I'd like to mention about the tapered drybag in a tiger. It's designed so that the taper bit goes "inside" the tiger - obvs, and the rolltop is "outside". This means all the mud flinging off your back wheel if you don't have a gaurd attaches itself round here, and you get muddy/wet hands opening it and you have to be careful with your kit inside.

With a standard drybag, I can put the rolltop bit "inside" the tiger, therefore meaning when I get my sleeping bag out at the end of the day, it's pretty clean coz it's hidden from the crap.

I normally fill the tapered bit of the tiger with innertubes or something to pack that out.

My 2pence worth.

Anyone have opinions on Gorilla cage vs Anything cage vs Blackburn Cargo cage?

I stick spare socks and knickers into the narrow bit of the bag. The alpkit bag works beautifully with the Wildcat Tiger.
