Hrm on etrex 30?

Does anyone use their etrex 30 hrm feature? I was under the impression that the etrex 30 didnt have a hrm. But when you go on the garmin site it suggests you can. In the fitness menu it is listed, and a garmin approved accessory is a hrm belt.

And googling does not give a definitive answer.

Page 46 of the owners manual mentions pairing it with a HRM or Cadence sensor.

Yup, works perfectly with both. ANT+ though obviously.

It does. I've run HRM and temp sensors off mine.

Can you see your hr when using the 'mapping' feature and following a purple line? Or do you have to change screens.

Yes, you can configure the map screen to display one or two data fields at the top of the screen, one of which can be heart rate.
