I am organising (hahaha) another Less is More weekend over the summer solstice.
All welcome. We have a few nutters/adventurers coming along including the Wildcat Gear crew and Kevin Shannon.

Sounds fun! Where will it take place and how far?

It starts at Longstaff's shop (address on poster above (scroll down a bit)), where there's kit talk, tea drinking, cake and general chit-chat. Mid afternoon, we ride out to a camp/ bivvy spot, emphasis on the social aspect, find a pub, talk about some more kit, sleep, have breakfast and then ride back.

Distance last year wasn't tremendous - 20 miles tops I think. Zonc might have a different route in mind this year.

It seems I may have a solstice reprieve, so have just been working out a route between here and Chesterton

Oh may consider this instead of the north yorkshire that weekend . . Will run it by chew and zippy too (tomorrow after I've slept.and been to work - by which time they would have probably read this anyway! :) )

I think it's child friendly too, so you could bring the boys. I think the plan is for us to go up as a family.

Hmm - mabes.
Need to get some new wheel bearings for the bike pronto, and change/fix some bits on the car too...(plus a load of other stuff too, but that can wait!).

It would be good for the boys but alas they will be with their dad - and I can't really swap as they are doing tbb and glastonbury with me either side of this. It's a shame but I think they'll cope :)

If you need more info give me a bell at the shop or email us. Ian has answered admirably. Yes it is children friendly and the route could be accommodating for all. Just need to know who wants to/thinking of attending so as Tink as sort breakfast !!!!

Just finished plotting my route there. Will be starting at Caersws and following the EWE route to near Stone, then lanes and canal up through Stoke. Will aim for 11am arrival on Saturday, but if I'm not there, save some cake for me!

I have a route I do from penkridge to Chesterton if you want it ian,
it comes off the ewe route and goes up the west side to ches via, ranton ,gosnall, eccleshall ect.
its some off rd and lanes , but its a lot better than riding up the east side and through stoke.
I use it most weekends when I ride to Cannock from home in Newcastle under lyme

There are two door ways into the shop - are you sure you got the right one?
