My internet connection is scared of the rain, so I'm having to watch it in bits ... just leaving Nant Syddion, so far really enjoying it

Nice.
I recognise a few tracks and roads around the Elan Valley. Where's the track on the third day where you are following a deep valley on your left?

Stick with it Stu!
@whitestone - that's a bit of Trans Cambrian Way - Y Grug, travelling west. SN 8493

Cracking video, I like the cattle grid angle shot and that must have been some climb (twice) to place that high up camera shot

The high up shot - the one riding through a cutting? That's on the old Elan Valley railway line and from memory it's not too deep, maybe 20 metres or so - I was part scoping it out for rock climbing when I rode through it last year, it will look deeper because of the wide angle lens used by the camera.

That's the one (note Stu's Island in the background). Only a short scramble - a greater concern was to not fall off or drop the camera...

Nice shots. Must have taken a while to get some of that setup.

Very enjoyable Ian.
I had intended to take more pictures and possibly video this year, but I always get distracted by the riding...
Love your new Shand too... Fond memories of watching rallying in the 70's and 80's. Brilliant idea for the colour scheme.

Thanks for the comments
Set up wasn't too long, all things considered. I would usually be riding faster than Beth, so we'd shoot a couple of scenes from one spot and then while I took all the camera stuff up Beth would ride on and I'd catch up. Worked well. The Elan cutting was the most time consuming as we kept getting interrupted by walkers and had to ride through it six times in total to get a clean run.
Out of interest, has anyone spotted the deliberate mistake in the film?

vaguely exciting!
Great to see so many familiar places!
Looking forward to the BB250 thingy later this year!

I think so - in one shot Beth is riding on your left and in the cutaway shot (mentioned earlier in the thread) she's riding on your right

Not enough shots of your beauty, the Bahookie...?

That was too easy then
I tried flipping the frame, but then the drive chains were on the left side of the bike...
Still, t'was fun stitching all the bits together.
I will endeavour to take more photos of the bike next time when its not covered in mud or bags.

As far as I know you bog and bags are very much part of your riding, the very place such a bike belongs to. Just more of the Lancia Bahookie would've been nice

. Can't see enough of it....
You do seem to be sat upright on it. Looks comfy. Any down sides so far?

Cracking video Ian. Loved the underwater shot on day 1. New bike looks lovely and isn't Beth amazing. She's so much faster than you.
