Was always a dubious prospect thanks to pished up jakeys in abundance on those places. Interested to see how a permit is obtained. Plenty of other places to camp for us bike and back packers

A sad state of affairs. I think this is a case of an irresponsible minority spoiling it for the rest of us. All the now controlled areas shown on the map lie along roads that give easy access to the area. This block ban is just an easy/cheap way to control the situation rather than patrolling and prosecuting those who are actually responsible for abuse of the area. If you look at the map then you don't have to move very far from the loch sides in order to avoid the banned areas.
