Yeti gaiters and MTB shoes?

Yeti gaiters and MTB shoes. Would this combo work (maybe sizing down on the gaiters)?

Yetis prefer a very stiff sole, otherwise they tend to flip up over the toe. Many walkers/climbers glue them on for this reason.

The problem with this is that they make the boots very difficult to dry once they get wet - and you can't take them off if it's dry/a bit warm. Really a winter-only solution.

The ones made for the Scarpa Attack sole (a flexible, walking sole) had an additional little "strap" that fitted into a matching cutaway on the sole tread.

Hmm, that's the problem I've been having with my Endura overshoes.

I gave up on over shoes for mountain biking. Waterproof boots and/or waterproof socks do the job. I do wear ankle gaiters in snowy conditions, especially if there's a risk I might have to walk. It helps that my winter boots have laces so there's somewhere for the wee hook to cling on to.

These might be worth a punt, if you don't do too much hike-a-bike.

Then again, why would you bother with gaiters if you didn't do HAB...
