bit OT... connecting a RIG7 to a campervan

I want to connect my Rig7 to the side of my campervan to make a shonky side awning. I'm a bit unsure of the best way to attach it to the van... I could just chuck some really long guy lines over the roof/drivers side but I'm sure I read a while ago on here that someone attached their tarp to a van using clamps along the rail?
cheers

Tip number five might be what you are after -

We have a combi rail on our van and Ben from Alpkit sewed a kador strip to a bicycle 7 (cost was £60 for tarp and work) which we can just slide on - ok if you have a strip. 2 poles were insufficient to put it up properly - first time was at the weekend - so just bought two more poles. Reckon it will work and just need some windbreaks.

We do this. Whichever way you attach it take lots of extra guys and extra poles to stop it sagging, and get a couple of extra windbreaks and put them on the other side of the van to block the wind coming underneath.
