Storage 'Inside' bikes.

So up till now all I stored 'in' my bike was a bundle of emergency zip-ties up inside my seat-post. Since the Lynskey is broken and the seatpost is knocking around I started to ponder....

If I remove the pump head, I can fit up inside the post the following-

Topeak pump
Leatherman Squirt
Zip-ties
Power Links
Instant patches
Chain tool
Tubeless repair plugs

It does need to be inside an old inner tube to stop rattles, and I need to work on a 'bung' of some sort.

Does anyone store anything in their bike, if so what/where? Seems to be a handy solution to keeping packsize smaller still on trips. Plus, on shorter rides I can use a bottle and not need to worry about over stuffing jersey pockets with the above tools.

Good idea for those items you dont need day to day. Ive put small spares wrapped in a duct tape strip inside my bars before.
Often wondered if a bike will develop with a large downtube water tank, probably not but it does seem a waste of good storage space.
The hollow inside of a stem is a good security spot to distribute certain folding valuables.

I've just come back from a trip to Morocco and it was a bit of a standing joke that I was fetching chameleons back in mine! Long story, don't ask. But ha, chameleons! There's more money to be made with tortoises but they wouldn't fit inside the frame!

I keep my tarp pole inside my seatpost.
