Anyone planning on taking their girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband/ bikepacking next weekend?
If yes
where are you going?
If not
what will you be doing?

I will if it warms up to 25 degrees, stays dry, and the local woods have shower facilities and comfy beds. In the unlikely event none of that happens, she's out!

Heh...house sitting...minding the ducks, chooks, bees, cats and dog. No fun in the hills for me.

We're off on a big, family trip to a caravan down the south coast. Will be cold but nice to spend time together. Folks are going along with both my sister's, their husbands and kids. Really looking forward to it.

I guess I'm lucky then. It seems I'm going to an island. I've been promised chips and a slug of sloe gin.
Gee whiz, I'm a cheap date.

Yet to celebrate valentines day, we've both never been fussed by it. Maybe we're both miserable! We do celebrate our anniversaries though
In terms of taking the wifey out on a bivi for any occasion? No chance, we tried bike touring in Ireland, horizontal Atlantic rain and tents didn't really work out, next time it will be touring and bed n breakfasts

For Irish touring, that's completely understandable.
So how do you celebrate anniversaries?

Herself is not a cyclist but the plan is to go camping in Rutland if the weather is dryish. We don't bother with Valentines though, just the way our weekends fall.

Last few years we went to Manchester for a few nights as its handy for the peaks to go walking and Manchester has some good restaurants/bars. Even bumped into FLV last year in Keep Pedaling

Sadly this year, our little one stopped us from a night out but we did go a local restaurant
Here's a picture from our first anniversary

And one week on, I'm sat here eating my curry kicking myself for not heading out for the weekend. Stupid idea not to go!
