£55 return for 4 days cycling in Northern France.

Very tempted, who fancies coming?
Thinking Thursday June 4th - Sunday 7th June for the D-day anniversary.
Portsmouth - Cherbourg return Caen - Portsmouth.

This all depend on how nice I can be to Mrs T in the next few weeks. :-bd

Strange you should post that 'cos I've just booked a few days over in Brittany (Plymouth - Roscoff) around the weekend the TdF passes through. My return date falls just outside the scope of the 55 quid offer cut off, so it's costing me an extra 30 notes, but an early summer road bike bivi trip is now in the bag

 in another cycling life I used to guide around that area. If you need any tips/hints let me know.
Two autumns ago I went on a short rde with our 12 year old son bivving and following the advanced of the D Day landing through the 'bocage'.Rode along the canal from Caen port inland. Make sure you stop at the museums! We used a 1947 map alongside a modern version. I believe you can now get copies via Michelin. It's a great journey. Z

What sort of riding are you thinking Taylor? MTB or something that would be suitable for a crosser?

Crosser/road bike.
Not big distances every day but stopping in musee/cafes along the route.
It'll be around the 200-250k mark I'd have thought.
