A bothy trip between Christmas and New year appears to becoming something of an annual event - anyone up for something this year?

We (5 of us ex lboro stoodents I think) have something planned involving a Bothy in Wales on New Years. Can send more details if you're interesting in heading to the same Bothy?
Afraid it's the only time I can spare this year...

Doubtful as I'll have my son down for a few days.
Keep me informed and I'll see if I can do last minute.

If you don't mind my ugly mug dragging along, I'd be interested. I can pitch the tent if room inside gets low.

You can join our ugly mugs

Shall I suggest 27/28 Dec?

Can we go somewhere new that has a fire?

That works okay for me.

New to you or everyone? I won't have any transport so how about a night at Nant Rhys? If not, I'm sure I can come up with something else.

All,

I was planning a loop slightly further north then but if weather grim (likely) could be tempted by some company and be tempted to join you, assuming you aren't not over bothy spaces already.

I shall be leaving BB Towers around 1.00pm on Sat, so I propose anyone who would like to set off with me gets themselves here (SN 871975 / Ceulan) for 12ish ... it won't be a big ride, just enough to clear the cobwebs.

OR

make your own way to Nant Rhys ( SN 837793) and I'll see you there.

Stu

Can you give us a weather report in the morning?

Forecasts are saying heavy rain/snow this evening. Just may need a plan B if BB Towers is under a couple of inches of snow

@Stu,

If the snow does hit, is this still on? I'm planning on bivvying out on Kerry Ridgeway tonight to make ride to BBT easier on Sat. morning, but if snow is gonna call it to a halt, I'll implement a plan B.

A bit of snows not going to put us off

Metchecks saying a lot of snow/rain later
https://www.metcheck.com/UK/today.asp?M ... &findtype=

Norgies are just saying rain
http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/W ... _hour.html

It can differ between valleys, so I was more interested in not being able to get the car up to BB Towers if it does snow in that valley

Cheers for the headsup on that. Here's hoping that there's no 4hr/4mile snow hike-a-bike sections...I've had enough of those this year :)
