That'll be nice when you crash with it in your jersey pocket!

Where would you put it if you aren't carrying something strapped to your bike or a rucsack?

Surely if you need somewhere else to carry it, you're already losing the weight benefit?

In my roadie, I'll only carry my front door key, a second spare tube and my phone in my rear pockets (gels too). Wouldn't fancy crashing onto my multi tool or worse still, my mini pump

Problem with those kind of tools is that the multi headed thingy prevents the allen keys getting to awkwardly placed bolts plus you'd also need to lug a chain splitter with you.
I'll stick to my topeak alien - heavy but solid
