I had one of the original Rab top bags (with the mesh bottom) and found it drafty.
Does anyone have experience of the more recent offerings?

A few quilt* users on Rich ... most seem pretty happy. I don't really find any of mine draughty, however I am usually in a bivvy bag too, so maybe that's the difference?
*very similar to a top bag.

I've been using the
Big Agnes Mystic SL15 which is a top bag with pocket on back to slide in a sleeping pad for ground insulation, I have not found it to be drafty. They do an excellent job of making sure the connection point between the bag insulation/pad has overlap enough to seal the drafty areas. Because I am extremely slender I sleep a bit cold in it but that's not unusual for me. I've thought about getting a womens bag so there's less air space to warm inside the sleeping cavity. I don't think a person closer to average build would have any issues with this bag/sleep system. Did the Divide in it this summer and no real issues to report.

Mat at UK Hammocks will convert bags to quilts for a very reasonable price.
