Poles - carbon anyone?

I haven't made any carbon poles for a while, mainly due to the stupidly high cost of materials. However, Scattamah asked me to make a rear carbon pole for his Zpacks Solplex. In an effort to make the price bearable, I was able to negotiate a better price with a new supplier, so carbon poles are now back on the cards.

The benefit of carbon isn't really in weight saving but strength ... and obviously bling factor  The pole below is 12mm O/D, with a 1mm wall, 84cm long and weighs just over 50g. Expect a 1m, 3 section pole with either domed or tipped ends to come in around £30.

If anyone's interested give me a shout.

How much do you reckon for a 135-140cm pole - in weight and price :0)

Presume it would need to be 4 section?

How much flex do you reckon at that length? It would be the main pole in my new MLD cricket tent?

Weight should be 75g - 80g, cost would be under £40 posted.

Not much flex at all ... you certainly won't be lay there watching the thing flex, wondering whether it'll shatter and 'ave yer eye out

Could be 3 or 4 sections, down to you and your packing plans.

Looks great Stu. How much for one for a Lunar Solo? I need it to fit into my frame bag, so probably 5 sections (current alu on is 4, 2 long 2 short)? I'm waiting for my new frame, should be here before christmas, so once I have it, I'll get exact measurements to you.

Just give me a shout when you know what your dimensions are, 5 equal length sections isn't a problem.
