Further to the conversation that Myself, Stu, Jase and Paul had at the weekend about Enduro racing and people being spoon fed riding, is this the standard of competition?
Can't be that hard to ride a motorway faster than these lard arses.

As someone who 'criticises' other peoples riding for a living, I think many of them showed some good technique, if not speed. Sadly the video does make it look a bit like this.

Is that one of the new sections with the under-trail heating?

Must admit that i don't quite get why they have 'transition sections' instead of just racing the lot..
Tbh, was thinking about entering one just to see what all the fuss was about

I expect that's like looking at the middle of any event pack that appeals to the have a goers as a guide to a format. The guys who win or top ten will be PDQ.

Not sure exactly what this thread is complaining about?!?

If the trail then there's a thread over at STW that will be right up your street fishy (noticed the your name change... see what I did there. ). From what I understand the motorway sections are about 2% of the whole trail and replace the fire road sections...

Other than that there's loads of events that don't appeal to me but so what, and there is loads of mid packers at any event just there for the craic... and so what.

It's all just riding and bikes and that's what's fun, right?

This sort of reminds me of my trip to Bike Park Wales recently. I got from it about 5% of what I get from mountain biking, but there were crowds of people there loving every second of it including every one I went with. I probably won't go again but I don't begrudge anyone else having a good time.

Meanwhile, in another wood* in Wales not too far away, you have this: http://www.redbull.com/uk/en/bike/event ... n-atherton

* a wood we manage and I knew about the event for a good while, but was contracted to secrecy. Sadly I couldn't (or didn't) go and watch. I rode the Lakeland 200 instead :|

That hardlines track is incredible.. Has zero to do with my riding apart from making me want to hit a few local mini drops on my rigid xc jey mobile :) but I love that clip.

I think that new track looks great. I could make the excuse that my son would love it. The reality is though, I bet I'd really enjoy it too.

Penmachno has always been one of my favourite trail centres.

That is a trail centre, but without a visitor centre.

I love the quiet there.

Doesn't look too dissimilar to Berm Baby Berm at Glentress and everybody raves about that

I know the Rafferty lads who run that and lots of the SingletrAction guys Marshall or ride. It's a grand craic. Not for everyone but a great event and atmosphere

Know these sorts of events aren't cheap to run properly, but at £38 + another £5 for camping & parking i feel like i've had my arse slapped a bit, just hope it's worth it!
