I was just reading the latest threads on cook sets and alcohol burners when I remember my new cook set addition that I purchased at the London bike show a fortnight ago.
I am still in mixed feeling about this purchase as I'm not sure if it will suit my needs yet, In therory this should be the solution to my mess tin with a sealable lid idea that i have been pondering on.
A mess tin that I can use open flame fire, pocket rocket, hex tabs and chemical Heat pack to cook fresh food with, eat out of and carry left overs in, not to mention a protective water proof environment to transport the food in to start with.
I agree it's not super small pocket sized but it will nestle away you cooking instrument and the food!

I have cooked pasta in it with a large heat pack and did take about thirty mins but did cook it, I would next like to try it over a naked flame but I don't have a mess tin gripper yet.
