I don't care who made it ... $300 for a steel stem is taking the pi*s, no matter how many colours it comes in.

Bit like the little bike shop in Ambleside called PUSH ,trying to sell £6k road bikes ,you walk in 3 bikes on display with art house jazz ( saying that don't mind a bit of jazz from time to time ) soon as you ask them for a basic part they scoff at you .prefer ghyllside cycles myself and biketreks if desperate .only go in so my dog can scratch his French polished wooden floor lolmountainbaker wrote:Buuuuuuuuut, it's made in Portland, OR by bearded hipsters who drink craaaft beer.

Don't apologise, they need people to like it, I like it ... it just seems like an awful amount of money for something that in reality is actually very simple to make.Fair dues to them I reckon, nice kit that people value enough for them to sell at a level that supports the time and quality that goes into it. I like, sorry ..
It might be hand welded but I very much doubt someone's sat there with a file and a hacksaw lovingly carving each part, I'd imagine a cnc does that bitAnd playing devils advocate, the cielo stem is welded by hand
