In the pursuit of staying a little drier / warmer I'm giving waterproof overtrousers some thought for the upcoming months ... anyone use them? Anyone like to recommend any?

I like my Montane Atomic DT overtrews. Very light and packable. Had them a few years now - used them on TD11 where they sat in back pocket on dodgy days. I assume there is a modern version. STW reviewed them well at the time.

I *wouldn't* recommend Altura Night Vison trousers. Different material to the REACT fabric used in the Attack shorts (that are brill) and they seem both sweaty & leaky!

Omm kamilika and inov8 race pant both lightweight and fairly breathae.
The omm ones are very stretchy too.
Designed for running so not reinforced gussets may lead to a shorter life span though.
I use a rear mud guard too so limit mud/grinding paste creation on the saddle

I've never found anything that isn't hot and sweaty when putting any effort in on the bike. I know others who don't have a problem but I always do. Must be genetic.

Me too, I start heating up on even small climbs.

I don't mind cycling in the wet but like to stay a bit more dry / comfortable in camp.
To this end I am trialling a pair of lightweight water resistant over trousers made by cutting the bottom half off a tyvek crime scene onsie.
They are very light and easy to pack and give me a bit of comfort around camp over the top of my cycle leggings.
They were also very cheap!
