Meths Stove Recommendations

I am a gas cooker!
I have never used meths. ever.
With the aim of reducing what I carry (more volume than weight) and knowing how much fuel I actually have when I leave on a trip, I would like to dip my toes into the waters of meth stoves.
After trawling the tinterweb for about 3 or 4 days now I am even less sure of what I want than when I started - there is a massive choice out there!
Hopefully, if I outline what I normally use a stove for I am hoping people can share the experiences they have had and maybe make a recommendation or two.
The main use of my stove is food - I don't drink tea or coffee. On reaching my stop for the day I would normally cook up some pasta, rice or noodles to have with a 'look what we found' meat balls. On gas I would cook up the carb first then heat the balls in their bag in the hot water. I don't mind heating the balls directly in the pot if it is a more efficient use of the meths etc. I used to use a 1L primatek kettle but have moved to a mytimug and would prefer to use it for everything to save space.
For breakfast I would heat water in a mytimug to add to a sachet of porridge and milk powder.
If I do anything else with the stove it would be hot water in the mytimug for a hot chocolate but I could live without it if I did not have enough fuel.
Any other cooking I do tends to be directly over the fire.
I am looking for a stove that will in the mug alongside a bottle of ethanol and a windshield if I need one. Also the stove should be the right size for a mytimug in use as I have read that some need a minimum pot size to be efficient.
There seems to be so many types out there - capillary rift stoves, blooming jets, non blooming, remote feed, etc etc. I would assume that the best one for me would be the simplest that suits my needs. Oh and a good price tag would not hurt either!
Any thoughts, comments or recommendations appreciated : )
