I've just clocked the name. Should I assume that you've gained sponsorship from one of the larger multinationals or should I be mentioning thigh length Sealskins in my letter to Santa?? :???:

Its ok im thinking if going into production - waders with spd compatible soles . . . They will sell like hotcakes - at BB events

Either that or full length latex gaiters - they will be lightweight if nothing else . . .

Wondering about joining the Winter Event. Do you think it would be within the spirit of the occasion if I had a route that included meeting family at a pub/restaurant on the Saturday evening to celebrate a son's birthday? Not looking for outside assistance but am looking for family permission ;-)

As long as you spend the night bivvying in the beer garden I don't see a problem

I was hoping to find somewhere a little more interesting than beer garden for the bivvy. Although family are insisting on right to tell me I have to abandon if they feel I might not survive ;-)

Given my general wimpyness am wondering how many sleeping bags I can fit inside each other inside a bivvy bag!

Stu, can you explain the ford fiesta bit to me, I don't get it... :???:

A few other blank faces at the BB200 implied I'm not alone, but presumably I'm the only one prepared to admit it publicly

Is it parked somewhere and we have to find it?

Because what could be nicer in the depths of winter than trying to cross lots of fords that are in flood? ;-)

No fixed route... it's your choice if you want to cross them :p

No one said you have to cross them, that bit's up to you.

However, crossing them can be made more entertaining if you do it when there's a layer of ice on top of any stones sticking through the water ... watching Chew and Wenchie last year was a real joy.

So, it's not a ride to and from Ford in Shropshire?
