I've just voted 'getting there' but I have just had butterflies in my belly thinking about it.
Anyone else apprehensive of the unknown?

Have not even thought about it yet, not even sure which bike to use.
Waiting for the route details then it will spur me into action.

I am horribly unprepared. Less fit than I've been for years with a dodgy knee and zero training. It's going to be great

I have been thinking about kit. But only to stop me thinking about how little riding I've been doing.
I'll be happy to finish!
Still looking forward to it.

Didn't apply, bollox
However, I'll celebrate the weekend with a curry and beers, thinking of those competing

I'm just happy that it's looking like I'm actually going to make it to the start.
Evidently I did some bad things in a past life and am paying for them this summer.
Offspring medical worries, burglary, multiple injuries, moving house, work stress and a distinct lack of riding - what else could go wrong?
I can't wait to find out.

Oh bugger.
I spent all summer in general ignorance about it since entering. Best get onto it...

Not looking good for me being fit enough to even attempt this..
Felt unwell for a couple of months, then fell off the back of the bike onto tarmac & did something to my coccyx (never went to hospital cause they can't put ya ass in plaster). Tried to carry on riding for a week, but had to stop for a fortnight because of the pain. Then just as i was getting going again whatever had been making me feel ill really kicked in (think it was a flare up of colitis) & flattened me for a couple of weeks
Changed my diet & back out riding now, but not sure if i'm prepared to put myself through the suffering involved (due to lack of fitness) to just even finish. Gonna keep riding & see how i'm doing nearer to d-day

Glad to see that there'll be as many unfit and crocked riders as racing snakes!!

Was hoping to have a lovely new rigid 29er for this but that hasn't materialised so I'll be doing it on my 26er, not ideal but I won't doing anything daft like riding my Mukluk !
Fitness wise I've done a fair amount of all day distance riding and now the nights are drawing in I'm getting used to riding with lights again. My big problem is that I can't replicate the climbs.
Definitely going for a strategy of having a "proper" overnight stop and looking at something like a 120km/80km split (gosh, that sounds like I've actually thought about a strategy!

)
Am I ready... kinda, sort of
Am I nervous... hell yes
Am I going to be last... quite probably just not sure what time/day/month (delete as applicable)

At least we're not at Pennant, so I can't let the sheep out this time!

Llanbrynmair community centre (school). Allow yourself plenty of time because to confuse matters further you won't actually be starting from there but from somewhere else which is 5 minutes ride away.
Aim to get yourself to the school for 9ish and you'll have time for a brew, a faff and get to the start proper in plenty of time.
