Welsh forestry and wind farm tracks?

So what's the skinny with the Welsh forestry and wind farm tracks that a lot of folks here seem to ride? I've used some in the Brecon Beacons but not further north. Google Maps seems to have a lot of them marked, and you can obviously see them on the aerial photography, but what's the access like? Okay if you avoid forestry operations? And what about the wind farm tracks?

Usually okay ... many forests and windfarms have BW across / through them but often they're not visable on the ground, so no one seems to mind if you use the access roads instead.

If a forest is FC then you've no issues, some private forests may have a different view, although I've only ever had issues twice ... and to a degree that was just bad luck / timing.

I regularly use pretty much what ever is marked on the map. :-bd

Even run into harvesters on the roads who have just stopped and let me pass then carried on afterwards.

Most windfarms are located on open access land, but best check the 1:25,000 maps.

Yebbut strictly speaking you're not allowed to cycle where you like on access land... but in most cases who's going to argue the toss?
