So im off to the states on Monday biking. Looking for some inspiration......what bit of kit would you buy out there and bring back?

Though a lot of the suggestions seem to be mail order gear so you might have a challenge getting hold of them.
I took no riding gear to NZ thinking I'd buy a load of Ground Effect stuff. However, it's only mail order in NZ too and as we were travelling around could never order to deliver to an address

Up to last week it would have been a quilt but I just placed an order a few days ago for a UK Hammocks one.
Now, probably peanut butter M&Ms :)

As with battery packs B&M homestores are your friend. At a quid a box probably cheaper than the States. Also picked up some Baby Ruths and big boxes of Reese's Pieces.
