Will 29r rigid forks be okay in a 26r frame with 26 wheel ? Silly question

Can you compare measurements of the two forks?

I have that set up on my P7. Works fine. I went from a 26er 140mm fork though so all it's doing is barely keeping the same geo.

I did this as a styling exercise and it worked pretty well. It gave a really slack head angle so the steering was slow/stable but not unmanageable.

What sort of frame is it? If it's designed for a 120mm+ fork then it'll be fine. If not it'll probably still be fine but it's more of a gamble. If the two forks are a similar length, adjusting for a bit of sag on the sus fork, it'll be fine. In other words, it'll be fine.
