Following on from Rich's thread it seems theres a fair bit of local knowledge knocking about.

I was planning a trip this weekend with a pal up to fort augustus, follow some of the highland trail route but cut accross to poolewe / torridon and the ride out over the highland trail route through torridon area and then back through glen affric.

Was there any damage to speak of from the recent rain?

Thanks muchly

This is what I was on about at the weekend Dave. (not that you'll pass the exact place)

River levels are all dropping back to normal so don't worry plus there aren't any significant crossings on that part of the HT and options for alternative routes.

Gives info on major catchments you just need to work out which catchment the river your concerned about flows into. The only reported bridge damage was in the Cairngorms

You'll be fine but wrap up warm...10-12 degree daytime temps most of this week! 3 degrees at 6am the other day near Inverness!
