I'm never going to ride with you though. You appear to have some weird MTB-related jihad being waged against you so all your rides have a disproportionate amount of "character building" in them :cool:

Brilliant!
Maybe we should all design a route for Dave to do which involves, say, a reasonable amount of climbing, some nice single track, plenty of easy double track and lots of nice views as it appears that every ride he does turns into an epic :grin:

I've just thrown a route together to try out in Stu's back garden its about 184miles as a route so u can prob add another 30 on for all the bends. Ya welcome to av a go Dave ;0) it has lots of hills a few bike hikes and plenty of overnight option's

Had a crack at this from East to West. Lasted 3 hours of the sort of sh1t you described before riding back to the van on the lanes! Some 'rides' are just not worth the misery!
