Quilts - tell me more

After a new sleeping bag but want 250-270g of down and a 500g overall weight.
I know that's far fetched weight expectation but it is possible but for nearly £300!!
For $260 posted I can get a long enlightenment quilt which has over 300g of down and weighs only 520g!
Now I've never used a quilt. Would be used with an ul pacific outdoors air bed and a silk liner.

Other option is a PHD half bag, but even with a down jacket you won't get that warm snug feeling of a good sleeping bag.

You won't go wrong with an Enlightened or a Cumulus quilt ... they will feel different to a sleeping bag but imo it's a good type of different.

Shame Cumulus don't make a Quilt 300 rather than the 250. That would've perfect with no import charges!

How about the 350? Total weight of 570g.

In the OP's defence the thread title does contain the word quilt. Titles such as Tell me about..... and until you open it you don't know what its about!
/thread drift over
I've got a Thermarest Haven. Coupled with my Neo air X therm I've never missed the bottom of the bag! I rarely use the hood so I'm sure I'd get by better with a quilt.

Nice guy, but as his stuff is aimed at the bushcraft crowd it's not that light despite great quality down.
If he used 10d fabric it would be a winner.
He will make you a quilt with 10d but you have to buy the fabric yourself from the states and then the prices go up a lot
