Morning all, newbie here keen to try my hand at some lightweight backpacking...

I've been a camper all my life and am interested in the idea of taking off with just the bearbones(!!) for a night under a bivi.

I've picked up an alkpit hunka, am playing around with a cheap poly tarp set-up so would appreciate someone who can guide me in my new experiences.

Anyone local(ish) to me (Wells)?

Thanks y'all

I can see Crook Peak from my house.
Up near Nailsea.
PM me and I'll see if I can sort a quick overnighter.

Just a short ride to an old Iron Age fort.
Nothing terribly exciting watching the planes land at Brizzle airport.
