Hello all, I am new here. I am planning a short trip around Brecon Beacons over this weekend (probably from Thursday 22nd to Wednesday 28th). If anyone is about or has advice on events or road/trail closures around the area, I would love to hear from you. I've not ridden in Brecon Beacons before so I welcome advice, gpx routes, camping spots, bothies, info, etc.

Ordinarily, I'm your man for all things in the Beacons. However, I'm busy getting my kit together for the HTR on Friday, so I don't have any time to compile anything for you I'm afraid. Two suggestions though:

Download the EWE route from Aidan Harding's website and ride the bit through the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons: http://www.aidanharding.com/ewe/route/
You can tie it in with some of the rides I've done that are entitled Fforest Fawr on Strava (loop can be done either way around)

I'm not aware of any particular trail closures. Might be some harvesting going on in the Talybont Forest, but the EWE route will avoid that.
