Harlech

Post by HopeValleyPaul »

Hiya I've got two weeks coming up for some R+R with the wife and kids in Harlech  . I'm taking my bike so I can disappear occasionally :-bd .Can anyone suggest any good areas to go to or good bivi spots as I think my time on the bike is going to be very limited, so I want to make the most of it. Im thinking 3-4 hours out in the evening and back again in the morning (at best). So far I've got a quick trip planned up on Moel Goedog after I saw a photo of someones bivi on here last week (looked stunning).

Cheers folks.

I reckon Pont Scethin (either the official loop or just the surrounding BW) has to be a favourite, only a few k south of Harlech.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Worth heading down to Pont Scethin. There's a bivvy spot near the bridge too ;)

From the north, you'd do the route clockwise coming back over Bwlch y rhiwgr. Bit of a push up from the bridge, but the descent off the other side is good

Edit: beaten to it, but two recommendations for the same place has to be good!
