Interested in this a bit.
A year ago when John asked this question it seems no-one had heard much about them.
Now they are everywhere. Distributed by Ison and a list as langs ma airm of sponsored riders.

What's the deal?
Where have they come from?
Where has the money come from?

Obviously they've been pretty canny in getting Ison distribution and stock in stores. My one concern with that quick a ramp up would be quality. At least with Wildcat and Alpkit you know everything is handmade in the UK and you can pick up the phone for a warranty issue or if you want something custom made. Has there been much feedback on Apidura quality?

She's done the Tour Divide and some other bikepacking stuff.

Someone with bikepacking racing and touring experience and some business/finance(?) background is the first to go to Asia to make BP kit in bulk. Can't see it costing that much to set up aftert the initial time in development. If rackless touring booms (relatively) they're in a good position I think.

I did after using Stu's samples. Couple of other guys on the WRT did as well.

No complaints from me so far, but I think for nicer weather (yeah, right) I'd go with something a bit less heavy duty.

Their kit was in the majority in Italy recently.

People seemed to really rate it but it does look a sniff overbuilt which is great for longevity but heavier than other brands.
