What Sleeping Bag?

Looking for sleeping bag advice.
So I currently have two, a rab eclipse 120 (extreme +2) and a cheap tesco lightweight synthetic will big claims in temperature range (extreme around 0).
I dont need a 4 season bag as I tend to hibernate in doors from late October to end of April.
However, given tge current weather I am a bit concerned that my bags will not be warm enough for a 3 day trip in the Highlands starting on the 2nd may.
So, after browsing the tinterweb the bag that sticks out is the vango venum 300 down.
The pros are;
800g weight
0 degree comfort limit
22x15 pack size
£100 price tag
Before buying it is there anything else I should consider? I am not too fussed about weight but a smaller pack size would be nice, unless it comes at double or triple the price.
Are there quilts with similar temp range but smaller pack size? Do they tend to be much more expensive?
Any advice would be great. Thanks.
