My local morrisons had the AAAs marked up at 50p a pair so I duly bought the lot. Might be a national cock up. Had trouble finding AAs much cheaper than the supermarket as the PO/couriers can be arsey about shipping lithium so the p+p kills it. :|

Me too! My local Morrisons still sells packs of 4 AAA lithiums for 1.69 I think, so worth a visit.

I'll have to drop back in and have a look again. Hopefully AAs for the Dakota at a bargain price as well.....

Thanks for the advice, 7dayshop were the cheapest but the £5.99 postage killed it.
Purchased off Ebay in the end at an unspectacular price, looking at some of the warnings it would
seem that it has been known for rogues to sell used batteries on Ebay

Popped in to Morrisons here to find they don't even do Energiser lithiums
They had about 20 different types of Duracells, but no lithiums. Same was true when I did my Wales trip earlier this month, I tried to find some in Llandudno and everywhere had f'ing Duracells and no lithiums to be seen anywhere. I asked for lithium batteries in five different places and each one gave me a quizzical look. Lithium battery technology hasn't reached Wales yet

I checked my local Morrisons today and I was wrong, the 1.59 4packs are energizer ultimates or something, not lithiums. They did however still have a dozen or so packs of 2AAA lithiums for 48p. Just depends on your local store I guess!
